How many of you are going Vista for Bioshock?

I can relate to your struggle very well my friend.

I had 19" LCD 1 month ago and after sitting down on my friends 20.1" wide-screen for 1 hour my decision was final.

To those who said you don't have a graphical improvement with wide-screen, they never experienced it.

all new games and many one that are current support 1680x1050 resolution on 16:10 widescreen format.

The difference is spectacular my friend, but trying for example to play an DVD is gorgeous, even surfing the web is more vivid and colorful then on my previous monitor.

Look for 2 ms response time, 3000:1 rate and at least 250 cm2 or higher.

Right now? You won't gain anything from Vista, there are no true direct x 10 games, upgrade smart. XP does all the job done.

You will not regret the monitor, from personal experience I never did.

Yeh. Thanks mate. And i already choose LCD. NEC 20WGX2 20" LCD, whit 700:1 contrast ratio, 6ms response time, 470cm2, and S-IPS panel which makes colors look better than on monitor whit higher contrast despite its lower contrast. The price is also higher too. It also has glossy screen. And i will surely have Vista when Crysis comes.

Not all apps and games and PC cards are 100% compatiblew Vista...

Many Apps or cards that says that are vista require a special soft.......like for games x-fi cards (best carsd on world) need for the optimized sound Alchemy soft only for VISta Cause XP doesn't need that.

Vista has a Looooong way til all users go on him.

Lost planet looked better in DX10. The motion blur and other effects looked nice.

P.S. I don't understand the ignorance that is those that b!tc& about Vista. I don't see the issues. I can run all my games without issue. When I say all my games, I mean ALL my games. I can even run Soldier of Fortune 2, which is a 2000 game, yet runs great. So don't let those that don't understand Vista talk you out of getting it. It is them, not Vista.

No brainer for me (that's a NO vote). Upgrading my PC's OS is a big decision; it's expensive, and it will alter the way my machine does everything from that point forward. I will almost certainly go Vista at some point in the near future, but not for this reason.

I'm always shocked when people do this sort of thing for a single game.

I am in the same boat as you. I didn't get Vista for any game either and don't have any issues with the OS. I can't wait to see how an actual DX10 games plays.

Locked, loaded, and fully armed with Vista Ultimate 64-bit! Let's rock :D

If I didn't already have Vista, would I upgrade just for BioShock? As awesome as the game sounds, probably not.

Of Course the latest version or at least from 2003+ of apps work...

Do u use windows 95, 98?.

Programs that are optimized only for Vista maybe can't go on XP.

Not Worth to use Vista for 3. or 4 games that let's say aren't so great( excluding Bioshock and HALO) mean Vista Only.
