Im pretty sure someone told me 3 but idk is there a limit at all if im on the same comp?unrealplaya55
Unlimited until they discontinue servicing it. Just have to call up and get the software code from some guy and tell him you're a personal user and like to wipe your hard drive clean every few months. That's what I do just to keep things clean and safe.
Depeiding on what kind of version of windows you have (OEM or not) you should be able to install it as many times as you want as long as you don't have the OEM edition. These versions are normally distrubuted to system manufactures and system builders. If you don't have an OEM version it's unlimited until it gets dis-continued.
[QUOTE="unrealplaya55"]Well I have the OEM one. So i can install it infinity times till 09 or whenever it gets discountinued?greatmax1Yes but you will have to call microsoft and ask for a new code. After how many times?
How are you able to call MS and get a new product key?bungie93
When you go to activate if you are out of automatic activations, you can call the 800 number provided, and answer a few questions and then be given a new key that will activate Windows.
They now have this completely automated, so you don't even have to talk a live person anymore.

Do you know what kind of questions they ask you? For instance, is it possible to get a key if you have never purchased Vista? Also what is the number :P
thanks

Not possible. You have to read them a number given by the Windows installation, and then they will give a key that will activate that copy.
Plus even if they could, why would I help you get it, I actually pay for my software, and I don't feel like paying extra because you don't feel like spending $100.
