Mine is running 24/7. It hibernates when not in use. I also don't overclock, so CPU scaling is enabled, which probably helps save some power as well.

I both Work & Play on my computer, so its almost never not in use .. thus, it's almost never off .. I do the occasional random restart for OS updates and other apps .. and full shutdowns if I'm going to be away for more than a day.
