So whats everyone's age? Im 13.unrealplaya55
I'm 27 and working on my first kid...due about mid May. I'll raise her properly and teach her that gaming is a positive aspect in life and that strictly PC gaming is the way to go! (well...maybe a little Wii mixed in there, but that's it).
Just re-did the average. It's up to about 21.75, now.
EDIT - So far, my dad beats all of you guys. He's 56, and he games.
17, 18 comin' quick. Seems like PC gaming is centering around 20 years, average. I liiike. I find that more mature players game on the pc than the consoles, probably because PC games take a little more thought than games on the console. Or am I wrong? :PBeBattey
Nope, I'd say you're pretty right! :P In fact, this reminds me of a comment I saw on youtube for a Halo 3 vid. Some guy said something like: "Hey guys did u no that thar's a new halo game cumming out called halo wars? its gonna suuuuuuuccckk. its like a RTS (real time strategy) and thats stupid but it'll still sell well i bet cuz its a halo game."
Needless to say, I LOL'd ;) (and then I replied with a typical PC gamer diss  )

I think my dad out does us all. He's a proud gamer of 62. I'm 24, by the way.
34 here...what's really sad is seeing some of these posts of kids under 16 and then seeing their rig specs in the signature line. Most of you punks have a better rig than I do and I have a job! No bitterness here.Gooeykat
Just because someone is 16 doesn't mean they don't have a job....I'm 17 and I've had a job since I was 14.

I said "under 16" and in the US most states don't allow businesses to employ kids under 16, there are exceptions of course. You being one of them.

You can work if you're 14 or 15, but there are child labor laws. I don't exactly remember how they work, but I do believe that they cannot work more then 4 hours in any given day and they cannot work past 6PM and that they cannot exceed 20 hours in a week.
It also depends on what type of job you're doing. I know you can't just start working for any company, but there are jobs out there you can do. Paper routes, is one. I had a bag-boy job when I was 15. I worked 3 days a week from 3pm to 6pm. Once I turned 16 I could officially work a full 40 hours a week job.

Don't know what the law is in your state, but here in Florida you're legally forbidden from working fulltime under any circumstances until you're 18.

Yeah me too, I just finished writing in another thread comparing Spore to the Old E.V.O. game for SUper Nes. After seeing how young everyone here is i doubt anyone remembers that game or system......I just turned 30 last mnt and have only been a PC gamer for a year......so eventhough im old most of these kids have tenure on me.
Forerunner-117
im not quite that old, but I get the same feeling, like a 13-16 year old now probably grew up with a snes, not a nes or even atari 2600 (yeah, I got one)
Right on the nail! I'm 16 and my first console was an SNES :)
Not on the nail for me, Im 15, but grew up with an NES, good old Super Mario Bros! :D
