My computer has catched some Spyware from websufing not a download. The spyware change my background to some warning and i could ot change it. So i ran Norton and it picked it up it was called Joke.bluesc but it did not finish the scan it only did 5000 files. I restarted the computer and ran Norton again and it picked it up again so i restarted. Still never worked. When ever i went on my web browser and searched something in google and it redirected mee to some ads. So i ran Trent Housecall and it found it but it could not remove it. I know where it in System32 but it would not let me delete it kept saying it was in use or it was copyrighted. So i turned off the computer and booted Norton and it scanned for a minute and only 66 files and did not find anything. Also it spread to other account. So should i call Future shop or Best buy but i have a feeling their just going to format it so should i format it my self. If you think i should format it can you tell me how to do it. Also tell me if you have any other suggestion.

thanks in advance

1.unistall norton anti-virus
2.download Ad-aware (or spybot search and destroy) + AVG Anti virus (or Nod 32)
3.Scan with both twice (if needed run it in safe mode)
4.stop surfing sites you shouldn't be (lol)

that should get rid of viruses and spyware.

OK first start up safemode (f8 key) Go to that Sysytem 32 folder and delete that file. Also dowload this free antispyware program called AD-aware. http://lavasoft.com/single/trialpay.php run the full scan and it should get rid of the spyware problem.

From my personal experience, Spybot is pretty much crap (but better than having nothing). When I was using it, it did catch a few spyware, virus, and cookies. I just got Webroot and it caught a ton of stuff that Spybot missed. There were some nasty stuff on my computer, which would have explained the minor slow down in my computer. What can you expect from free stuff?

Here's a little list you might want to check out:
