On a scale of 1-5, just curious.
This game gets a 5 from me... I don't even know why it's so fun... :D

It's got the occasional bug or useless item, but it's still in alpha.
The addictiveness of this game is unmatched, it's like an infinite box of Legos. :D
I thought the topic title said "mein kampf" so I was about to say 1/5, 2 on second reading. I haven't actually played this game yet though so i can't say. biggest_losero.o :D
1/5 Not going to vote though, just really not my type of game. I can see how it can be enjoyable though, bit like I enjoyed Legos back in the day..VfanekI never knew people had lego sets with zombies, slimes, and green **** who explode.
4/5
You only get from it what YOU put in! So basically you have to make your own story, you make your own objectives and your ONLY limitation is YOUR imagination!
4/5 Try the browser version first before you by it. That's my suggestion. bbibmfIts worth noting that the free version is not the same game as the paid version! They are very different. free version = **** Paid version = Awesome!
4/5
It's pretty fun, but I don't think I'll buy it until the game is complete, or nearly there.
I played it during the "free" weekend and enjoyed it.

No it's called paying for half-price and getting to play then getting the completed game free.
Any demos like that?
5/5, most revolutionary sandbox game in decades, basically a Earth simulator were you can play in multiplayer also. And its getting extremely popular with each passing day.
Btw., do NOT play the free version, its not even close to being the full game, if you want to judge it. Watch these following videos instead, to anyone who is even remotely interested.
This is part 1, continue to watch.

If you want to buy it, buy it soon while it's still in Alpha -- every update from now until Kingdom Come is free, so that includes the Beta and Final version... for about $13.16 (10 euros).
This game actually drew me away from my precious multiplayer shooters. That's a rare feat. :)
4/5 in its current state; it's fun, addicting and it's actually a proper sandbox. Kind of surprised something like this hasn't been done by a larger devoloper before.
I just love stumbling upon a cave and end up exploring it for hours as it's so huge. Last time I ended up so deep in one I became lost, it was that big.
2/5 in the current state. I love the game and the direction it is going but it needs a fully functional multiplayer and mod support (not just skins). For an Alpha it is really good but as a full game it would fall short because it is a base with no real substance or mod support. With those 2 things probably a 4/5.
3.5 to 4. The game is mainly bizarre, but something about it is incredibly addictive. I've only played the singleplayer, but simply being dumped into a unique and virtually endless world filled with huge caverns and mountains is quite exciting. It needs more depth, certainly, but the simple joy of building something is a source of great potential.

No, its the full game at half price. It just not out of alpha. Its FAR from a demo. All the updates are free, so pay half price now, and get the same game as everyone who pays full price, but be able to play NOW instead of year or two from now.
4/5, but hey, it is still in alpha. Cant wait for the final version.

Paying for this alpha is like preordering the game, just that you get to play the game while it is still in alpha, beta as well as the finished version and is for half the price.
Dev gets money while game is produced, fans get to play, make suggestions in an early state and report bugs, resulting in a better final product and a well funded developer, its win/win.
Honestly i dont see what so great about it. I tried it, i started killed some animals collected some flowers explored a little bit and get killed by a human in a cave. What i am missing?dakan45
Its a sandbox game...all you need is imagination. You can build, mine, explore, fight monsters, encounter dungeons, swim the high seas, craft.

I agree: Bizarrely it's kind of a game where you have to make your own fun, if that makes sense. Like starting a giant building project or trying to survey and light all of the local caverns.
To me, it feels like Notch said "Here ya go guys... have fun!" And just leaves you standing in some random area. Then you are left to your own devices completely and utterly. You can do whatever you like, from starting to mine and build up a house to crafting a boat and sailing on the high seas, from slaughtering poor animals for food or skins, or crafting God knows how many items to help you survive.

Yeah, exploring is one of my favorite parts of the game. Especially spelunking, you never know what's down there in the dark...

Dont take me wrong but i explored alot and did not find anything good. So i gues building is mandatory.I can't rate it as I haven't played it and I never will. After many years of playing muds in the 90's then seeing UO then EQ graphics, I have no interest. I am merely responding in confusion, I don't understand the fascination of Minecraft.
Can someone please refer me to some newbie guides for this game? I was watching this guy's videos of his first time playing and he had mentioned he had just read guides and stuff to get some knowledge on the game.Remmibhttp://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=35905 for the guide, then u'll need this http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting to know how to craft everything with easy to understand pictures.
