I tried the free weekend thing. Had no idea what to do or how to create anything, couldn't change resolution, didn't have any sound. Deleted it almost immediately. I can see the appeal, back in the dos era I would had worshipped something like this, but it's too rough around the edges for today.ManicAceWait, so you didn't even bother to google "Minecraft crafting" and click on the first link? Also, for resolution, just maximize the window(assuming you had the exe version).
It's a "fad" game and I don't think it will last long. Probably one of the most overrated titles out there today.

Yes, a game with unlimited creative potential is going to die out real quickly...
4/5 in it's current alpha state and I fully expect it to soar to 5/5 by the time it enters its final release.
It's been a long time since I've been as addicted to a game as I am to Minecrack.
I'd love to see a feature that allows us to save our files online in a Minecraft cloud, but that's asking a bit much as of right now considering what that would cost with server fees and maintenance.

I'm so excited, I'm never going to last until Halloween!
This game is the perfect Sandbox game, the possibilities are unlimited, all you actually need is some sort of imagination, the game might still be a bit buggy tho. But its still in Alpha so thats actually expected. I'll rate it 4/5 for the time being, the game clearly got the possibility to reach a 5/5Plaguebane93To be honest, it's just a rip of Dwarf Fortress. It doesn't have nearly as many possibilities.

I can name many games with near-unlimited creative potential that have died out in the past several years.

Opinion is opinion is opinion. I'd ask that you list some of those games, but, after all, it's just going to be subject to opinion. Don't mistake this as hostility or that you are wrong or that I'm flaming, I'm basically just stating that the argument is moot as "unlimited creativity" is always subject to opinion. Any game that it digital is going to have limitations by the way. Just thought I'd throw that out there.I'll buy it soon I'm sure, you can't hear this much about a game (and so cheap!) without buying it eventually.

I say you better grab it before it leaves alpha stage because then the price will double.
Have you seen any of X's videos? I watched about 4 hours of them now, and it looked like so much fun that I impulse-bought the game. His videos are addicting to watch for some odd reason, must be laced with that virtua-crack.
