How Would You Rate Vista On A Scale Of 1 To 10

Dependson the version of Vista (Home/Ultimate and 32-bit/64-bit).

I've had 2 versions.

32-bit Vista Home Basic Edition: 7

64-bit Vista Ultimate Edition: 9.5

I didn't have SP1 in my 32-bit version, so maybe that's what it was lacking. Ultimate rocks though.

It has its problems, but some of them are easy to get used with. I tried it for about 30 days.

EVERY Windows has/had it's problems. They're never going to be "perfect" in our "perfect" world. (riiiight...)

I did hate it at first, but had a little patience and worked out the kinks. Was the same with every OS I've used.

From 1 to 10? ... 0

Any OS that requires 20GBs of space just to install it and then not even have enough room to install a service pack is completely useless.

It's a VERY solid platform, but it has its occasional quirks. I really enjoy it.

I'd give Vista a 8/10. My only problems are that it's a bit of a system hog and it lacks support for older files/games.

8/10. I like it more than xp (and less than win 7 :P).

2 points less because its a mem hog (i know, ram is cheap, bla bla bla...) and my speakers have to be connected on the front.

i rate it 1/10 only because i like the big icons, otherwise its an absolute 0.

search feature never works. i search for something, and nothing comes up when it should

slow as crap

ui looks like crap , i always turn it of

ganes run slower

pograms un slower

direct x 10 makes it even slower

unsupported ganes/programs

bothersome useraccount control that doesn't do anything except annoy you

there are many more from other people but this is all i can remember

Vista Ultimate 64-bit. 7.5/10 It's ok, not excellent, not terrible. OS X is superior, no matter what fanboys say.drucom

Some people might not want to touch this post, but wow this is ignorance of the highest order lol, the spelling mistakes dont help either, even makes me think has this guy even used vista? seems on average in this thread people are giving it between 7.8-9.5, some people have had different experiences but by now i would say everyone is fairly pleased, i mean mines damn fast, ive used xp and 7 also, but generally pleased with vista, its performance, look, and fun features.

Not really noticed any of them issues you mention mate, what do you think of windows 7? read about it? also i install 64-bit with my 4gb installed, and i bought vista from day 1.
