[QUOTE="iamthe1ne"]so the dynamic lighting and high res tex in the screenies will be the same on dx9?

I think so, though they said that DX10 is faster on the max settings.

thanks for the link. it answers all my questions
Umm, the difference is kinda huge? at least in Stalker, because on DX 9 it looks like crap, on DX10 it's good.

Stalker is not by far one of the best looking games imo, but with DX 10 the difference is huge for me, it's almost bearable so maybe I will enjoy Clear Sky more, because Stalker SoC was boring as hell.
[QUOTE="iamthe1ne"]updating to vista for just one game and leaving my classic rpg's like fallout, baldur'sgate, and planescape? i think not HenriH-42
Or you could use XP/Vista dual boot? ;)
vista is still to pricey for me. i could buy a bunch of games for the same price as vista. i just hope someone could unlock dx10 effects to dx9 just like in crysis
[QUOTE="firebreathing"]why dont you watch the dx10 demo trailer and ask that question again. iamthe1ne

I have all three of those. I have Vista. Guess what? All of them work fine on Vista.[QUOTE="firebreathing"]why dont you watch the dx10 demo trailer and ask that question again. iamthe1ne

I'm sure that all of those games will work fine on Vista. I've never had a game not work with Vista.
