I recently relocated and HAD to assemble up a mid range stuff with meagre funds. It's been about 4 months I was w/o a decent gaming rig so was kinda desperate.I know that I kinda compromised a lot but tried to keep as much headroom as possible for future upgrades. So here's what it looks like.
CPU-Core i5 2500 (plan to upgrade to Ivy bridge as and when it is released and my pocket permits)
Mobo-Asus P868 V LE (PCIE 3.0,22nm IvyB support)
Ram-GSkill Ripjaws 8gb 1600
HDD-500Gb Seagate (plain vanilla...sigh)
GPU-Gigabyte HD7770 (plan to add 1 more for xfire in 6 months)
PSU-Corsair TX650 v2
Case-Cooler Master Elite 431
Monitor-22 inch Dell
Now I wish to play BF3 and Skyrim at the moment and kinda haven't kept track of proceedings on gaming front lately. Please lemme know will this stuff take me through for six months or so ,till I add a better GPU or Xfire it.Also since the board supports 22nm CPU's ,is it future proofing enough?
