Now, i have been having problems with my computer ever since I used my genius to force windows 7 on it. For one, when I sometimes take the charger out while it's on, sometimes it will flash to black 2 times, freeze, then a blue screen will appear talking about "Dumping". List of problems without charger: Some programs, for example rpg maker 2003, or any program on XP will work fine, but with some programs, like mentioned before, will load, then freeze, then flash twice, then a balck screen will appaer. For programs that have options to expand to full screen, I might be able to use it and then go back to regular once. But once i go full screen twice (rarely can do it 3 times) maybe to check what time it is or to chack e-mail or something, then my computer will do the same thing. If i am surfing web pages with 3 or more tabs, and I take out the charger, there will either be random slow down, flash will randomly crash and there will be slowdown, or it will do the freeze thing again. I can;t run Gamecube emulators, and sometimes during PSX emulation there is random slowdown (lucky for me, i own the original games to go around this but eventually I will ned a back-up.) Sometimes when i am browsing the web, I frequently get almost out of memory messages or low on memory messages. Even though the paging is fine and i have plenty of harddrive space. Problems with Charger: Plugged in, flash crashes way to much on browsers. Mostly chrome but just as frequent almost on others. Even with only 2 videos open. Plugged in, I can;t run gamecube or PS2 emulators although I used to be able to, and PSx emulation has sound loops and stays on notes sometimes. Problems with BOTH: Flash crashes way to much. updated, reinstalled, did everything. Regardless of whether i am watching multiple videos, or not watching videos at all, when i am connected online long enough, or my computer has been running long enough on the web, at some point, all flash videos will stop playing and won't show the buffer bar and will only play until the video is fully buffered (but won't show progress) Which annoys the living hell out of me. Upload speed is stupid and it used to never be a problem until a few moths ago, Download speed used to be blazing fast, now its random, it's either above average, then it goes slow, then it sometimes stops, then switches, then goes upside down all around boxy brown is back in town on me. I DON'T KNOW WHY I AM HAVING THESE PROBLEMS: Computer SPECS: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 1 GIG of RAM Service Pack 1 64-bit (Windows 7 ultimate) Intel Core 2 Duo, T7300 @2.00 GHz . Seems fine to me, anything you guys can suggest?
I'm pretty sure win7 likes to have at least 2 gigs of ram. Go right click My Computer>Manage>Event Viewer to check for errors that windows is logging. Also, google bluescreenview for a program to read the dump files. That should give you a start in which way to go.

I'm pretty sure win7 likes to have at least 2 gigs of ram. Go right click My Computer>Manage>Event Viewer to check for errors that windows is logging. Also, google bluescreenview for a program to read the dump files. That should give you a start in which way to go.

One gig is a joke and most of the posters problems is because of his/her lack of enough R.A.M. Wins7 can run on one gig, but try doing stuff while Wins is running will cause the problems that the poster has described.

Your laptop is downclocking itself when it is not plugged in, so it doesn't have enough horsepower to run anything while in battery mode, this is only exaserbated by the fact that you have 1 gig of ram.

Your laptop is downclocking itself when it is not plugged in, so it doesn't have enough horsepower to run anything while in battery mode, this is only exaserbated by the fact that you have 1 gig of ram.

Upgrade your R.A.M. first. Then if you still have problems, we can go from there as you may have a virus or malware or other problems.

whatda? I can get 2x 4GB RAM cards off ebay here in Australia for $60 right now. probably even cheaper in the US. Get them for $50 if you shop around, but 2x2 or 1x4 should be well enough for the OP, and its like $30.
