Can I run all current games decently on this, how futureproof is it?
What do you think of it?

All current games will run on high at 1280*1024 - and it should last about a year and a half in playing games at high settings (although for new games, you will have to turn it down to 1024*768). However, the Dell XPS costs as much and comes with a Geforce 7900GS, which is superior.

Correction - around that price, you can get the XPS with a Geforce Go 7950GTX.

thats a pretty sweet laptop man! once it arrives go to www.srtest.com to see what current games you are compatible with, but I can't see you having trouble running any up and coming games for at least a year probably 2 though.

Great, thanks. :) I'm really interested in Crysis, anyone have any idea how well it'll run that if at all?

The game is not out yet, so we don't know. It will run pretty decent is my guess. Maybe not maxed, but pretty well.

Yea, I know it's not out yet but I'd think some people would be able to make an educated guess and It looks like I was right. That's great, thanks!

First of all gaming in any resolution other than native will cause image scaling on an lcd and therefore a loss in quality. Also, the 7900GS is only about 15% better and a comparably configured XPS system is about £300 more. It's also a 17" versus a 15.4"

To the OP: great laptop. You will enjoy it.
