Can I run all current games decently on this, how futureproof is it? What do you think of it? All current games will run on high at 1280*1024 - and it should last about a year and a half in playing games at high settings (although for new games, you will have to turn it down to 1024*768). However, the Dell XPS costs as much and comes with a Geforce 7900GS, which is superior.
thats a pretty sweet laptop man! once it arrives go to www.srtest.com to see what current games you are compatible with, but I can't see you having trouble running any up and coming games for at least a year probably 2 though.

First of all gaming in any resolution other than native will cause image scaling on an lcd and therefore a loss in quality. Also, the 7900GS is only about 15% better and a comparably configured XPS system is about £300 more. It's also a 17" versus a 15.4"
