I had an epiphany

I just realized how great PC games look. I've been playing games on 1280x1024 on high settings, nothing else. No AA, no AF, no maxed textures and it looks much better than consoles already. That's not even taking advantage of my hardware. :)

It's good to be back on PC.

I just don't understand how some people thinks that PC has that much of a difference in graphics in comparison with consoles. I was checking this page: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6178185/p-2.html and the difference is so small!

Side by side comparisons don't really do justice for PC resolutions. PC games look A LOT more crispy. PC framerates have much more potential. High quality might look a little bit better than consoles, but Very High, Max, or Ultra settings put the consoles to rest. You don't have to drop $1000+ bucks on a really good PC either, I spent $600 on mine. Consoles are a lot cheaper solution for just straight up gaming, though. I agree that consoles are much more financially friendly.

You have to experience the PC, that's all there is to it,the framerates, crispy resolutions and unmatched texture quality. Side by side comparisons might not show that too well. I came from consoles, PC is unmatched. That's not to say consoles aren't any good, though.

Bioshock never looked good nayway. and u have to choose a game made for PC first... most games like Halo 2.. its the exact same thing on PC, but then theres L4D and Half Life and maybe even GTA where u can tell a difference

I'd flood the page with CryEngine 3 comparison between PC version and X360/PS3 version, but luckily only in System Wars that is needed.

Multiplats that have the PC version redesigned do a good job of showing off how far the PC has come. If you can find some Far Cry 2 comparisions you will see the difference in a big way.

Hi I find that screenshots don't tell the whole story. You have to be in the game

playing it and seeing the scenes live. Seems like you lose some of the dynamics

of the picture in a screenshot. Maybe it has to do with the active refreshing of the

image that you don't get with a screenshot.

They do look alot better just recently i was watching my brother play a console game and i just noticed how much better stuff looks on the pc, definatly hurts consoles that they have little to no aa as well i couldnt stand all the jaggies.

That's the lovely things about pc games. You can optimize it, set it your way with the more options given to you. Its a worry that some games when transcribed from their console becomes a fail and lack of attempt on pc.

Bioshock is a terrible example for PC vs Console, the game looks like crud no matter how you play it.

On PC, it looks like the first picture. On consoles, you have a mix between the second and the third, and this is a comparison at the same resolution and without tampering with the configuration files, adding more detailed textures or using modifications to boost the engine (like Triple C, for example).

Consoles won't be able to do proper 1080p, they will get an upscaled 720p, while on PC you can regulate the resolution to fit your screen perfectly, meaning the image will be much more crispy.

Now, you may say you like console graphics so much, and that's fine. But please, do not come up with these ridiculous "there's no difference" arguments, because it's just false.
