So, EA has screwed PC gamers for the last time! First it was DRM, then it was Advertising in games, now the're leaving PC gamers out to dry on the Dead Space sequel. UP YOURS EA!!

They build their entire company on the back of The Sims, a PC game, then do this crap. They're even toying with ushttp://www.tomshardware.com/news/Dead-Space-PC-Game-EA,9638.html.

So, opinions?

LOL, i love it when people say "we made you".....hahahaha

EA are a company with a responsibility to their investors to make as much money as possible, DeadSpace obviously didnt sell very well on PC so why should they throw away development money/time on porting it over if its going to possibly loose them money?

I'm guessing it'll show up, at least eventually. Makes no sense for EA not to milk the game for cash in every way possible.

PC Dead Space sold about 40K physical copies in the US, there's no official statement containing the number of digital copies sold. I'm guessing EA didn't see enough revenue coming from PC Dead Space, but the weird thing is they seem to be reconsidering it. Hopefully it does show up on PC.

A part of what probably made a lot of peeps avoid the PC version is its mouse control issues which obviously point to the game having a console focus. While it's very easy to overcome the slow mouse speed, it's a little distressing in combat to have that kind of mouse acceleration which no one has found a solution for yet. What all those companies must realize is that a PC game should feel like a PC game and have it behave just like a PC game. Do stuff like Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Avoid problematic installations a-la Gears of War, this GFWL crap a-la... Gears of War (that's really such a shame, the gameplay was awesome on PC), avoid atrocious controls (Bionic Commando, anyone?), avoind annoying console interfaces (Lost Planet?) and just make a PC version of a game feel like a PC game.

Oh, and:

Dead Space is a great PC game. Simple problem is not enough PC gamers bought it, perhaps it will come a few months after release. Steam sales will no doubt help the cause, if you love it enough- buy another copy?

Encourage as many people as you can to go out and buy it for pc. Due to a price decrease, they won't make as much money and may not change their minds, but it's worth a go.

Personally I cannot believe that people are getting so worked up over this sort of thing. There are more important things in life than whether or not a game comes to your preferred platform.

It is pretty silly. Not the fact someone is disappointing that a game isn't coming to a certain system, but the way they take it as a personal affront to them is just ridiculous. Anyways, like already mentioned the game didn't sell well enough on the pc obviously. You guys want to see more games make it to the PC? Start buying more games. Oh, and tell your buddies to stop pirating games. The only people to blame for this issue is us...the PC gaming consumer.

No need to take it personal, if I were on one of those executive chairs on EA I would've voted against a PC version of Dead Space 2, even being a PC gamer. I mean, look at the sales.

I did. Everyone did, blame sales on the fact that people are ignorant of what a PC that's well equipped has to offer.

Yeah, and I'm sure that is the norm for 27 year olds *sarcasm*. Don't fool yourself, consoles are not marketed towards your age group.

Its just a term I like to use because the majority of console players are kids. There are obviously tons of older console players too but probably not as many as you would find on a PC. I play COD4 on my PC and the one server I play on has several 50+ year old players on. I have yet to play COD4 on a 360 and find any players over 50 let alone multiple ones (mind you I don't play 360 much). I'm sure there are lots of mature adults who play consoles but amongst all the little kids, you are not as likely to run into them as you would on a PC. I am 21

True but I would like to dismember my aliens with the precision of my Key Board and Mouse, not some dated analog sticks. I also want it on my cheap 1080P monitor running on max settings at 60 frames per second.

I want Dead Space 2 for PC. I want it NOW!

(although I am well aware of Dead Space 1's rather simple pacing)

If Dead Space didn't sell well on the PC I see no reason why they should release the sequel on the same platform. Don't take it personal, it just wouldn't be logical to release it on the PC.

I would if I could. Is there some place I can see the exact sales for Dead Space on the PC?
