Learn to build your own PC.  It's not that hard.  And you can create a pretty decent gaming machine for much less than the cost of a prebuilt one.  Figure out how much you can spend, figure out the specs you want, check ebay for cheap parts, google for information on how to put a PC together, then do it.

And if it isn't quite the deluxe gaming machine you want at first, remember PC's are upgradeable.  Save up and add the parts you want as you can afford them.

Also, remember, unlike consoles, PC's can do a lot of things other than gaming.

BTW, if you don't have a PC ... how did you log on here to post?

If you can play with Lego, you can build a PC. That's what I always say.

Tell your parents you want to build your own PC. Put together some stuff from google, the library, etc.. show them how you can do it, the budget, and so on. Your parents will probably be so impressed if they don't help you out financially, at least they'll be able to point you toward some odd jobs you might do to help you raise the money. Show some initiative. Parents are always impressed by that. And it's a "learning experience" after all. Parents usually like stuff like that too. And the same strategy might work on some of your other relatives. And once people hear you're building your own PC, you might find some parts being tossed your way. It's worth a shot.
