I just got a new gaming PC and...

I'm so stoked at all of the good prices you can get on PC games! There are so many sales going on that it's completely ridiculous. Between Newegg, Amazon, Steam and others, there are boatloads of great games for hardly any money. Coming from consoles, this is the greatest thing ever. Buying a retail game on Xbox live is just stupid because it costs way more than it should. It takes years for a 1st party Wii game to come down in price. I'm not sure about PS3 since I don't own one, but I would assume that it is kind of like the other consoles. PC FTW?

I know exactly how you feel...Ive been a console gamer all my life. Started playing PC games about 2 and a half weeks ago and am just amazed. Ill still keep my consoles for exclusives but the prices and just the way the games play on PC are amazing. It's pretty brutal. I've got to make sure I don't have too many games to play when Diablo 3 finally comes around (someday?). That will eat up all my time as well as my friends' time. Ive picked up penumbra (havent playd), Vampire the Masqureade (havent played), STALKER (so far is AMAZING and i dont care much for FPS but this game is incredible, The Witcher, Mass Effect 1&2 for $5 each on Amazon, Dues Ex HR for $10(havent played), Torchlight and Magic The Gathering...theres just so mamy fantastic games for even better prices

Welcome to PC, the platform when games that came out in OCT are on sale for 10-20 months in Dec

I prefer all the indie bundle game sales. I mean I've gotten so many good games from those like Super Meat Boy, Shank, The Ball, VVVVV, Frozen Synapse, SpaceChem, Jamestown, etc.

I'm was the exact same when I got my PC. I ended up just buying games that I knew I wasn't going to get round to for a while because they were so cheap. Have built up quite the backlog.

I still have some games i havent played yet i may get around to playing that Drakensang game and Divinity 2 at some point, people have told me that they are quite good. I still havent gotten around to playing Assassins Creed Revelations yet and I baught that for full price when it came out.

Also dont forget there are a lot of FREE games on PC too and some of them are really good. I would reccomend Tibes Ascend if you have the hang of Mouse&Keyboard in FPshooters. Free games seem to be taking more of my time than the games I have paid for these days.

When it comes to the price of games, it's pretty unbelievable. I'd probably be one to argue that PC gaming is actually cheaper than console gaming (assuming you still buy a laptop/desktop for web browsing).

I'm a PC gamer since I was born, and people told me consoles are a lot better for gaming, also there are 10 times more players there than on PC.Surprised to see you saying that you like PC more.Well, welcome to PC gaming!:D But still a lot of people say that COD, BF3, and all fighting, racing games are better on consoles.I don't know what to say.The graphics are a little better on PC but you need a good one to run them maxed, and you always have to change something.Games are cheaper on PC because of the pirating and because buying a bad-ass PC is more expensive than a console!:Dremusneo

I recommend that you get the Valve Complete Pack on Steam when it's on sale.

I will definitely keep my eyes on the Steam sales. I think the best part of this is not dealing with people bickering about 3 FPS differences and 5 torn frames between the xbox and playstation. Now I get to enjoy 30-60 FPS difference and no torn frames.jcbullen
