i love how so called gamers....

in cod4 ive shot many a camper through the wall (surprisingly, they dont move even though they are taking hits).

i feel camping is completely useless in deathmatch games, but it is useful in TDM, objective games. camping will not win you in many games, when i enter a room/new area im fully alert and ready to shoot anything that moves, whereas (beginner) campers will be bored and become un-alert and are therefore easy to kill. the cod4 hardcore DM server i play on, in terms of deaths im number 1-4, but i still win the game often enough.

personally i dont like to camp, it doesnt suit my playstyle (i prefer deathmatches, after all) and i do get annoyed sometimes at campers, spawnkillers, but i never blame them. As long as the game allows this, either this is a deliberate game mechanic or a design flaw

though i may not sit in one spot, i may move slowly around.. using cover, and the grass... most run around like its a field day or something lol

a good player can always get the better of a camper; most campers aren't good players. camping is a legit tactic and a great boon to team d. if camping hurts the team, i can understand TEAMMATES complaining about someone who camps, but if it doesn't hurt the team and helps the team, then i don't understand why the opposing team would complain. might as well complain that the good players always have a medic with them.cowudder

most campers arent good players, i disagree, i see more people running and gunning that arent good, compared to the campers that are... though in all honesty there are more people running and gunning period.... though i "camp" and im a great player, though i cannot and will not speak for all the other "campers" out there.

like i wrote, MOST campers aren't good players. usually, the good players go on the offensive (there are exceptions, of course). i'm not a good player, but i'm not stupid either. i won't go out there and attack needlessly when i don't have teammates to go with. i'll stay back and play defense until a good number (and variety) of players gather together, and i'll join in on the attack. or if there's a medic willing to heal me, i'll attack then as well. i'm a pretty good defensive player, because i know the places to play d on the maps that i play, so i try to help the team as much as possible by doing things i know i can do well.

i'm mainly referring to tf2, btw.
