I need a new shooter. Something with good multiplayer.

I want there to be open levels like BF2

Lots of people in a server like BF2.

I want something kind of like there where I can go lone wolf or with my team. Something that is newer too. And I do have BF2.

I want something now.

Team Fortress 2, plus Unreal Tournament 3, you can sign up for a beta key for Battlefield Heroes right now.

Crysis wars is pretty good.

Call of Duty: World at War comes to mind, it has some maps that are relatively open, but nothing like those in BF2.

Unreal Tournament has some spacious maps but most are tight and close quarters

Call of duty has some semi-spacious maps but nothing compared to bf

CSS is an option but still smaller maps

Americas Army could fit you iirc it had some decent sized maps

Red Orchistra isn't too bad and it's only $5 on steam.

I totally recommend Unreal Tournament 3, with the new patch out with new maps and gameplay upgrades. Heaps of people are playing right now. If you like huge maps with open terrain, then this is your game, with the Warfare gametype most maps are just huge, oh and you get a hoverboard. XD

I have most all of the source games. But I really want something kind of like Joint Operations... But that game is impossible to play because you can't update PB because they dropped it. And the 100 man server that gets pretty full still has PB for some reason. Its stupid. But about Securom. What does that do?

IF you liked BF2, you'll enjoy CoD 4 , coming from someone who plays both, although the maps are not massive but there is some certain quality to those maps.

Securom simply put is a type of digital rights management in games. It is said by them to be anti-piracy but in reality it is to kill used game sales. Some of the games have an install limit then you have to a buy a new one, it installs itself without telling you and won't come off without cleaning it which involves gutting the registry of it and some other thing. I have had a few bad experiences with it and would recommend to avoid any game with it and just buy the steam counterpart if there is one since that is at least upfront.
