The 2nd one looks pretty good to me - Cheaper and has i7 shininess.

Though they need to fire whoever writes those things...they've listed the first one with no RAM or DVD drive...

umm neither :P both are overpriced junk :P

here try this one on for size:

+

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131344

you would be getting a much betetr system and saving some money. if you were really into feeling dangerous your welcome to kick that up to an hd 5850 and still be saving about 80-120 bucks :P

changing a video card isnt rocket science either.. anyone with the motor skills to operate a screwdriver can do it.

your phenom II x4 hd 5770 system is nowehere near as good. cpu is slower and its got a poor powercupply in it, and to top it off the case has bad airflow and the gpu isnt as good as it could be.

seriously this would be your best option.

Another question is about the Monitor HP 23" Widescreen LCD Monitor (W2338H) It's Native Resolution is 1920 x 1080. Does that i mean i should play with that resolution? Is putting AA noticeable if you play at that resolution?

For just a little more than the above builds (1457.24), you will get substantially more performance out of it. Specs include:

Intel i5 750 Processor
Samsung F3 1TB Hard Drive
Lancool PC-K60WB Case
G.Skill Eco DDR3-1333 CL7 4GB Memory
Cooler Master Silent Pro 850w Power Supply
Samsung DVD Drive
Gigabyte GTX 470 Video Card
ASUS VH236H 23.6" Monitor w/ Speakers
Cooler Master Sentinel Gaming Mouse
OCZ Alchemy Gaming Keyboard
ASUS P7P55D EVO Motherboard

Price (before tax and insurance) also includes shipping and PC assembly costs. If you are interested, I'll post the links to it from NCIX.com.

^ just change to a Phenom II X4 and a 5870, and I'd suggest that route.

Stay away from both PC's they are ridiculously overpriced!

There are plenty of sites wich have a building option for a fee if you cant build your own, just pick the parts you want and let them build it for you.

don't listen to these people...i doubt you really need the extra power to do your stuff comfortably. if you can't build a computer, i recommend the intel system because it runs cooler and it has ram and an optical drive. While I do agree that you can get a more powerful system for that same money, you can run almost anything with that prebuilt one on max settings.

You should play at that rez, any lower resolution looks washed and blurry. At 1080 you dont really have to use AA.

No it's not. I just want to have a PC then play. This is the reason why PC Gaming is complicated. You have to build your own to get the best performance

Go with the 2nd one and you can always upgrade from that 260 to a gtx 470 or 480 later on.

I don't trust ordering PC on online storesNerubianWeaver

Why? Are you telling all of the people here who purchased their PC parts on Newegg successfully that it is untrustworthy? Heck, I bought my parts from NCIX, which is another Canadian e-tailer. They arrived here just fine.

Don't blind yourself with paranoia. You'll save more money that way in the long run.

If you must buy a prebuilt, do you atleast have a Microcenter near you, they have some decent prebuilts, their PowerSpec brand is really decent, you get a lot for the money. BestBuy is the biggest ripoff place after Gamestop.

Either learn to trust the credible websites/companies most people are listing here, or buy one of those junk-@ss, overpriced, pieces of crap from best buy. Your choice, learn to trust, or waste money.

edit: Also, have fun with best buys AMAZING customer service and AMAZING tech teams stationed at every location. LOLOLOL

What if i order a PC from NCIX and it doesn't work. It's too much of a hassle when sending it back. Shipping is also a bummer; you have to wait like 2 weeks before your PC has arrived at your home

It takes like maybe an hour to put together. In my opinion, an hour of work is worth it when you're saving a few hundred dollars. You're gonna be pissed off if you buy that and you will regret buying a pre built PC.

I love Best Buy's customer service. If I buy something I don't like I can just go up there and say something like "the picture and sound sucks", and get my money back :P
