Hey guys.

So recently I tried to install BFME1 and give it a go.

The installation went fine, but when I try to run the game it takes about 15 seconds to load the titlescreen, which is soon replaced by a windowed error which says:

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

"The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate acces."

What in God's name does this mean, and why won't it run? Please help me out guys...

I have sufficient hardware by the way, latest drivers etc...

Try running in WinXP SP 2 compatibility mode. If that doesnt work, reinstall it. If THAT doesnt work update your video drivers or somthing >_____________>.

Are you running it in an administrator account? (or an account with administrative rights?

Have tried the things you suggest.

I have re-installed the game 4 times, tried the compatibility mode, my drivers are fresh, downloaded the patches.

But what do you mean Anna?

I have tried running it in "administrator"-mode but perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Could you explain?:)

I am the only user of the computer.
