So here is my dilemna, i have a pretty old Rig and it played pretty much everything but now with the upcoming BFBC2 it runs awful on my desktop even on medium settings. Here are the Specs

AMD x2 4400 @ 2.2

EVGA 8800 GTS 640MB

2 Gigs of DDR PC3200 Ram

Motherboard is S939, and it has PCIE 16x.

PSU is 550 Watt.

Basically i dont really wanna have to do a whole new build, but i think im gonna wanna play BFBC2 because at the moments it not really enjoyable. Whats the best GPU out there for PCIE16x and also is it even worth getting 4 gigs of DDRPC3200 or just wait and build a whole new rig?

Thanks.

If your using vista, get 1-2 more gigs of ram. A nice 5800 series ATI card would be good for you. If you get the 5870, its a really good card, and it has dx11, which Battlefield bad company 2 supports.

I didnt read your processer, is that a 2.2, 2.2, making it 4.4? Well if it is, upgrade your processer. Those do worse than duo cores from intel lol. Try at least a 2.8 duo core, 3.0 preferablly though

Sorry, you're going to need to overhaul that PC. More RAM (DDR2 or DDR3 as well), better CPU, new socket mobo, better GPU. You might not need to upgrade the PSU, however.
