I think Age of Conan is very under-rated....

Hello, I have been playing AoC for the last month (38 level ranger in Indomitus server PvP) and I have to say I am having a really good time. I think that the game still needs to be polish a bit more (although they have done a good time since May) and it is much more stable now. I havent got a single crash or memory leak in the last two weeks. The combat is the best combat of any MMO so far (I hate autoattack), the graphics are outstanding (if your computer can handle it) the world feels alive and fun, it has a more mature touch and the PvP is competitive and addictive (190 kkills so far...).

But I am amazed that noone talks about this game anymore. People is back to the old debate about LOTRO and WOW. I played both LOTRO and WOW in the last 3 years...I have to recognise WOW is a great game but after playing AoC for a while, it will be tough to get back to Wow. The graphic engine is really old and that cartoon look kills it for me.

Dont take AoC out of the MMO battle so far, I am sure this game will be up there in the battle for best MMO.

With just a 38 ranger you haven't really experienced the problems yet. Should see how you like it when you are 50+

I have a 52 assassin, the only problem is that there are no quests, the graphics are looking good, no crashes or glitches.

Hell, When wow first launched the servers were always down, and how long did it take them to implement PVP? Age of Conan is doing fine, new players are on the servers every day, the combat is excellent, as are the classes. It has issues, show me a MMO at launch that didn't and come back. As far as MMO launches go, it is not that bad.

Last time I read, SInce AoC has came out Funcom;s stock has dropped over 50% due to the game

It DOES affect them, doh. For now it's starting to recover, but who knows if it will last and how it will be after their next patch that promises a whole lot more than they can manage.

You know nothing about stocks do you? They are NOT thinking of closing the servers, at $15 a month plus the many sales they got at launch aalone is enough to keep them going for awhile. The stokcs have little to do with Conana right now, read on the conan forums. leper-messiahs

I dont think that the performance of the stock has nothing to do with AoC... that is stupid as the overall stock market is crappy now, stocks like motorola or AMD are down 40% this year or look at Google down 35% from the peak of October last year...
Funcom stock at 50 was discounting that the game would have 5 million suscribers at the end of this year....stock market is volatile, it goes up very fast and goes down fast also...you cant say AoC is not a good game cause the stock is doing bad...Is like saying COD4 is crap cause Activision stock is down 10%... But this is what I mean with my original post , people loves to trash this game, and it is a good game, I wonder why people hates this game so much.

Who said anythinf about WOW? They don't need to beat WOW, they can co-exist.

No where in any stock articles does it say the stock is down because of AOC or AOC is in trouble, that is ignorant haters trying to say it means AOC is dieing. The stock is typical ups and downs of the stock market. We live in an age where a couple blogs and a small minority can spread BS liek this across the net and people believe it. Sad. 40% will return, according to BLIZZARD, who happen to be biased for their own product, meaning 60% won't, this coming from blizzrd themselves, exactly what I said, what exactly don't you understand?

1- We cant really be using these 40% or 60% as details because we dont know how many left WoW for AoC

2- That blog says blizzard said that when it noticed a decline in its players when in fact blizzards numbers are almost at 11 million

3- there is no link to the announcement by blizzard

Lmao 3 years for PvP? Honor was in like 2-3 months after realease... PvP already existed. Age of Conan can talk, you cant even climb the PvP ladder.

At least WoW had all its quests ready, and a varied number of instances for most levels.
