[QUOTE="DRAGONPIECEZ"][QUOTE="achilles614"]Dead space doesn't require much power to run and it typically isn't used to judge a PCs performance. The witcher 2-very beautiful game and takes a relatively strong system to play smoothly at high details. Battlefield 3-Large scale with a ton of action going on, 64 player games will push you system. Crysis, Warhead and Crysis 2-I bet even the older crysis games will give your 6870 a run for it's money with settings turned up. Metro 2033-While I think the game doesn't look as good as it should given the steep requirements for a high fps many will say grab this (it's always on sale and does look good). Some more, Shogun 2, Max Payne 3, Batman Arkham City.achilles614
Nice recommends. I've always wanted to try Crysis to see if I can max it out. Last time I asked about it here I got mixed replies: some saying I can max it while others saying there was no way I could, so I'm curious about that. I've been hearing good things about Metro 2033 around these forums, so I will get that next time it's on sale.
Shogun 2 looks great, I love those types of games. Is Shogun 2 a good game in the Total War series to start with?
Well with Crysis 1 it was very demanding and people were desperate to say they were maxing out its settings when in reality they were only doing so at 28-30fps average. I don't know what resolution you play at, but for me at 1080p with 4xAA it wasn't until my GTX 670 that I really got the fps I wanted with all settings to very high. Even there are some things I would like to tweak in the config like extending the draw distance on certain ground clutter which I'm sure would make the game even more demanding. Crysis 1 will push your 6870 at 1080p with 4xAA. I've never played shogun or any total war, but seeing screenshots from it you can tell it takes some hardware to get good FPS.Yeah even now Crysis is still hard to run for some, a buddy of mine with an Overclocked GTX 460 can run it all max (a good 4 years after the game came out), but his framerate will occasionally dip into 30's territory. My own OC 460 is almost always around 30 unless I cut a few unnecessary and unnoticeable extras.
