I'm assuming you're talking about the CPU. The Bios is the only way you should ever OC your cpu.

Its not bad if you know what you're doing, but i really wouldn't advice messing around in the bios without knowing what does what.

If you want to learn how to do it, just read some guides.

Read a couple of guides, look around theres an Overclocking union here in Gamespot with alot of guides for GPU and CPU overclocking.

You'll need to put an old HDD in your computer, put XP on it. Use ntune and ATiTools to overclock and scan for artifacts. Use NiBiTor to put a BIOS file on a floppy along with nVFlash. Boot into DOS with the bootable floppy you created. I won't explain any more than this. If you don't know what to do without being told explicitly, you probably shouldn't be doing it.
