I done it a little with my 8800GT. But it kept overheating. Help?

Also on a normal start up its 65 degrees C. After i overclocked it, it was up to 90.

Use Rivatuner to bump up the fan speed to 50-70% because normal is around 30%, Just by having it at 55% caused mine to drop 7C. You can setup Rivatuner to bump up the fan speed as the temps go up which works pretty good.

8800GT are pretty hot to start with mines like 59C idle.

Damn, my 3870 is defective and runs hotter than it should, but under load it still doesnt get that hot

Before I got my duorbs for my 8800GT's they idled 55C and maxed 84C, Now Idles 48-50C Maxes 62C

I've got it down to 61C with a few programs running. Now its giving me an error message when i try to play a game. My display driver has stopped working and has succesfully recovered ???????

weak sauce, my 4870x2 often gets up to 85 when playing games and that's actually considered low for an average 4870x2, you guys worry too much

yeah. GPU's can take much more heat than CPU's.
