I am lucky that my room mate owns Warhawk for our PS3 so I get to play it from tiem to time. I agree it is a lot of fun but the funny thing is I dislike the ground combat on the game because I find the PS3 controller awkward to use for a shooter. I enjoy Warhawk most when it is in dogfight mode where you must stay to the skies.
As for the PC needing a game like this I agree. I would buy it for PC if it were to come out. That being said this is an instance where it benefitied me to game on more than one platform.
Maybe I should try it, I'm skeptical though because every exclusive I buy on PS3 is meh and the controller is from the 20th century.
What the? The PS3 has some great exclusive games. By the way the mouse was patented in the 1970s, and the QWERTY keyboard back in the 19th century... so yeah... whatever! :PMaybe I should try it, I'm skeptical though because every exclusive I buy on PS3 is meh and the controller is from the 20th century.

Just because some controllers look newer doesn't make them better. I find the 360 controller awkward to hold for many genres of games and the Wii controller is a joke to me since I haven't played many decent motion games on it.
[QUOTE="the_mitch28"]What the? The PS3 has some great exclusive games. By the way the mouse was patented in the 1970s, and the QWERTY keyboard back in the 19th century... so yeah... whatever! :P and the first gasoline car was invented in 1885... The basic design may not have changed, but today's mouse and keyboard are vastly improved upon their predecessors. They provide more comfort and are catered towards the shape of your hands or the actions you use them for. The PS3 controller is the result of sony's reluctance to switch the left thumbstick with the 4-way keypad. Perhaps this is a sign of pride or maybe they really believe that the natural angle of your thumbs isn't the best place to place the stick you're going to be using the most. Personally no matter which game I play I find the gamecube controller and the 360 controller to be much more comfortable than the PS3 controller.Maybe I should try it, I'm skeptical though because every exclusive I buy on PS3 is meh and the controller is from the 20th century.

Yeah, if you are into Warhawk, then you probably would like the Battlefield series. Most of the triple AAA games use a formula that's been tried and true on the PC and you can usually find their counterpart.HOMIE_G64This. We do have games like Warhawk. Even free ones like Combat Arms & WarRock (Though these aren't all that great, but the fact that their free makes 'em alright.) But Battlefield blows Warhawk away, and if you've never heard of it it's very obvious you're not a real PC gamer and are just here trolling. Go back to System Wars.

Dual shock = best controller ever. Why change it if it ain't broke?I just bought Warhawk @ Gamestop for $13.00. Great game. I actually just went online to see if there was a PC or PSP version so me & my brother wouldn't have to play split screen mode. If they come out with a PC version I would buy it.

Battlefield is Teen rated. My son likes to play Warhawk with us. He is only 6 years old. Just not going to do the mature rated games.

The QWERTY keyboard and the mouse serve purposes other than gaming. PC games were made for the tech... not the other way around. Consoles are different, you have something solely for gaming. The original dual shock controller was conceived by sticking 2 analog sticks onto the bottom of the original PS controller so it would function as a regular PS controller if needed (which it was).
The controller puts unnecessary strain on your hands through your thumbs because the sticks are so close together and too far down from where the handles are. If you wrap your hands around a 360 controller you'll notice that your left thumb sits over the left stick naturally and that your right thumb sits in between the buttons and the right stick; and the handles go right into the grooves of your hand. Now that's a well thought out controller.
joke thread? the game is terrible, id rather just play battlefield 2.

For ground combat I would agree but the aerial combat is fantastic. My friends and I had lots of fun on the dogfight mode where you couldn't leave your plane.
I think its actually pretty good. I own it. Its pretty nice.joke thread? the game is terrible, id rather just play battlefield 2.

You are insane! Using the N64 controller was like trying to use a rubik's cube to play. :P Maybe I'm just special in the hands.

lol, i remember hating it too... couldnt even stand goldeneye.[QUOTE="zomglolcats"][QUOTE="jedinat"]Warhawk is lame.jedinatHave you even played it? It's a pretty cool game. Have it. It's on the shelf where it belongs.
I had it too and sold it. Don't like it and quite happy now.
i agree with that. i purchased a ps3 and i still cant figure out what ps3 exclusive i want to play. none of the ones i see even interest me and because im a avid pc gamer i avoid console first person shooters, or any games that require me to aim with the right analog stick.Maybe I should try it, I'm skeptical though because every exclusive I buy on PS3 is meh and the controller is from the 20th century.

These consoles truly are a miracle of marketing though.Maybe I should try it, I'm skeptical though because every exclusive I buy on PS3 is meh and the controller is from the 20th century.
