I don't need the os or monitor, I already have those, but I'd need everything else. Can anyone show me where I can find the best parts for the best price? I would do it myself, but I'm a complete newbie at this :P

I orderd yesterday for $550 on www.newegg.com an antec 900 case, corsair 650watt powersupply, 500gb harrdrive, asus dvd drives, 4gb ddr3 ram and a MSI GTX 560 TI so$700 is plenty of money to play around with different builds(Got an x4 3.2ghz processor with free motherboard at a local shop which only cost me another $100)

So does it really matter much about the case? Like, would this be a good case?

You don't have to go all out on a case, but at least get a case with some airflow or your components are going to get very hot(that case listed has no fans built in) This has some good airflow but won't break the bank http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

Seems ok, for simple build.

Yes a good case matters. You are gonna mount all the parts inside, you don't want sloppy construction.

Why sacrifice GPU performance for a CPU that will perform nearly the same in 99% of games?

the core i5 2500k is much more future proof than the 955. Also it is much cheaper to upgrade a gpu than a cpu down the line. Grafix cards evolve so fast its not even funny, so that in less than an year he could probably get a graphics card with the same level of power as the 560 ti for about $150, maybe even cheaper. Those are my reasons to get the i5 2500k over the 955 anyways plus a 6870/460 1gb will do just as well as the 560 ti in most games anyways.
