If i buy buring crusade do i still need to buy the first WoW game?

I'm still a noob when it comes to PC games, but I do know by now that you need the original to play any expansions unless the box says otherwise, like Dark Crusade, etc.

So yeah, you have to buy the first WoW version. It's only $20 so it should be no problem.

Burning Crusade requires and original copy of World of Warcraft. If you plan on buying the Burning Crusade, make sure you like WoW first. I recommend playing the regular WoW for at least a month, and if you've gotten bored already, just don't buy the Burning Crusade, because when it all comes down to it, the burning crusade is just more of the same.

Doesn't work like that. You'll still need a boxed copy so that you'll have a key to upgrade your trial account into an official account.
