If my computer can run Bioshock, can it run Mass Effect?

So, the opportunity has arisen to purchase Mass Effect. However, I'm worried that my computer might not be able to run it. I don't know any the the technical specifications for it, but I do know that my computer was able to run the demo for Bioshock fairly well. If it can run Bioshock, can it run Mass Effect? Or does ME have higher requirements?

You should be able to run it. Use the lab if necessary. They both use the Unreal 3 Engine.

I run Bioshock at Medium/High settings and Mass Effect runs fine on High AS LONG AS I disable Dynamic Shading in the options menu. That one little setting will slow down your game a lot if you can't run it.

The requirement for both does not differ much so i think u will able to run in med settings...

Mass effect is more testing on your computer. I was able to run bioshock pretty well on Medium settings on the way through the game. However, MAss effect was only playable on about the lowest settings and when I got to the Citadel, the game literally became unplayable. My framerate was under 5 FPS because the environments are so large. I have no idea how the game will play on my PC after that area; I uninstalled.
