Yes, you must get Orange Box, Probably one of the finest creations of the Human race ever.6) Do you have the Orange Box?

Well I just downloaded Tales of Monkey Island and I cant use my controller with it and I downloaded the demo for Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II which is a Games for Windows Live and there is no option to use the controller.

Obviously a controller isn't going to work with an RTS game or a point-and-click adventure game. If you really want to get into PC gaming, you're going to need to figure out the mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, even if you could play DoW II with a controller, you'd be committing suicide in multiplayer, and even single player would be terrible.Get Fallout 3, don't listen to the haters. Also maybe COD 4 or 5, depending on whether you prefer modern warfare or WW2. Or maybe get a flight sim or Street Fighter 4 cause those are the only types of games that I can think of which are better on a controller than with a keyboard and mouse.
Seriously, grammar games or something like Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing would be a good fit. (Pro tip: Misspelling on purpose only makes one appear ignorant and not cool!)krazyorangeThis man is wise, and he knows what he is talking about. Heed his advice.
Well welcome to pc gaming you have no need for a 360 controller just stick with the sexy mouse + keyboard :)blade55555Yeah I love playing driving games with the keyboard and mouse. Street Fighter IV is great using the mouse/keyboard too... /SARCASM

Well, I'm going to have to disagree about COD. I don't see how that would be better with a controller. Never played Fallout 3 so I can't comment. Pulling off a dragon punch seems like that would be a painful experience on mouse/keyboard.[QUOTE="CellAnimation"][QUOTE="blade55555"]Well welcome to pc gaming you have no need for a 360 controller just stick with the sexy mouse + keyboard :)funked_up

Yes, you must get Orange Box, Probably one of the finest creations of the Human race ever. If you end up on steam then yes the orange box is awesome but there is something better, valve complete pack. seriously i'm fairly new to PC gaming and all i've bought for a years worth of gaming is this pack and empire total war. It's true brilliance. l4d, portal, css, TF2, ALL of HL and everything else you could dream of... think i could work for Valve as martketing?I understand you come from a console background, and therefore a controller might seem more user friendly, but as pvtdonut54 pointed out, controllers in a lot of cases just can't compete in PC games. I really don't think anyone could seriously compete against good CSS players with a controller. It's not really that painful to switch to keyboard and mouse. Whether you use WASD, arrow keys, or whatever keybindings, you're going to find that at least aiming with the mouse while moving with the keyboard is going to be a lot quicker and more accurate than a controller. That's my primary gripe with consoles. Doesn't matter how many games of Halo etc. I play, still feels slow and clumsy aiming with an analog stick instead of a mouse. Is CSS mouse/keyboard only? Or can I use controller?

I meant F3 and COD 4 and 5 are good games, but games that work better with controllers are flight sims and arcade games (although a joystick would be preferable for flight sims).

Welcome to PC gaming
1)Should be on the back of the box, but i would use Keyboard and mouse controls.
2)Im not sure, but mouse and keyboard controls are superior once u get used to them.
3)Either look at your DirectX Diag or find the computer u bought online, it should have the stats listed.
4)um, idk about really good games, but Battle Field Heros is Free, and its a Battlefield game, so i'd try it out.
5)STEAM, srsly, the community is so much better
[QUOTE="pvtdonut54"]You can download a program called xpadder. This program lets you use your 360 controller with any PC game you want. The real question is, why would you want to with CSS?I cant see anyone being competetive at CSS with a controller.
