I'm assuming SLI has to be two of the same card.

But you could run that 8800GT as a dedicated physx card.

You won't miss much anyway. Physx is a scam.

So IYO even if I updraded the PSU I wouldnt see a much better performance gaming, with a dedicated physx card?

Athlon x4 @3.0Ghz( I plan on OC'ing)

6 GB RAM at 1600

GTX 260 896MB OC

Maybe to you, but I think it's a nice added touch but not really necessary for the amount of processing power needed. Mafia II looks has some nice cloth physics... haha.

You will only see a gain with games that support physx.

otherwise no.

I know batman, metro 2033 and mafia 2 supports physx, those are the three recent game I remember.

It's up to you to decide I you want to spend money on a new PSU.

you could also save up that money for now and put it on a new dx11 GPU... personnally, that's what I would do, but that's me!!!

it really is over rated. I have a phsyx card geforce gt 240 as well as mafia 2. Don't see a difference b/w physx and regular physics.

My GTX 260 Core 216 is my PhysX card. I am rather fond of the card and refuse to sell it. Probably worth less than $100 anyways.

You'll probably only notice the difference if you're scoping it. I could tell right away, but I could also tell that the fps took a big hit from having physx. The thing that sucks is using my onboard graphics right now while my gtx 460 is being stepped up to a gtx 570. I only used the card for 15 days. The gtx 260 core 216 was a lovely card. I used it for about 2 years and then I bought the gtx 460. I sold mine for only $80 on ebay though.

To do SLI or Crossfire you need 2 or more identical video cards.
