Hi guys. I'm looking for a good video card that is not to pricey. I'm a fulltime college student and have a family so money is kinda tight right now. Any suggestions on which video card I should get? I want to get the most bang for my buck. I'm not looking to get a video card so much for games but rather more for video editing and HD playback. Although I will play games every now and then on it. I don't want to spend more than 100-150$ range. Any suggestions? Thanks sooo much for the help and info guys. I'm really thankful.

Just need to know what type of slot you have on your motherboard. AGP? PCI? PCI-E?

Easiest way would be to tell us what video card you have right now, and if you know what motherboard you have, that would make it real easy.

for video editing and hd playback? I think the 8500gt is good for that.

id say a 8600gt for $150 or you can get a 8500gt for around a $100

This is all of my information on the motherboard and what not. The current video car I have now is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE. I believe its an intergrated card

Ok, you have one PCI-E slot. I would go with the eVGA 7600GT if you don't plan on running Vista, or the 8600GT if you do. Samerzz has the link to the 8600 in his post :)

yep. That's one if not the best budget card on the market right now. If you want to spend a little bit more, get a 7900 GS. I have the 7900 and it rocks.

the graphics cards I posted are perfect for what you want. HD playback and Video Editing.
