Right now I'm currently using an integrated Radeon Xpress 200 chipset with 256MB shared video memory and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit). This card is around $44.88 and has a fan built onto it. Would this be a good first time graphics card purchase for a guy FINALLY getting serious about his gaming? Also, please no ATI or Nvidia wars, I do not care for the 8400GS or anything else. I'm ATI all the way, love it or shut it. Thanks. :)
The 512MB model of the 4350. I want to be able to play Garry's Mod, Portal, Grand Theft Auto IV, Battlefield 2142, and Half-Life 2 all at a good framerate on anything up to medium at least. I'm not planning to play Crysis or anything.
You MIGHT be okay with source engine games... not really sure, but GTA will eat your computer up... Im guessing your cpu is not up to snuff either for that game.
We had one of those in a work machine and had to drop the settings pretty hard to play Source games at a good rate. I'd recommend waiting a putting a little more into the GPU.

Agreed, be careful with GTA4 - that game is pretty harsh on systems. The rest should play alright on a 4350 (or 4650 if you go that route).

Source games with that card will be alright, as well as the older BF games, but GTA IV is most likely way too CPU intensive for you to even get playable framerates on. But still I'd suggest you get something a little more powerful.

Sorry but I don't think that that card was made for gaming in mind. Also use newegg.com for pc parts purchases, theyre much better than walmart, great customer support and fast shipping. What's the highest youre willing to spend on a card?
Edit: Can you also tell us about the rest of your pc, particularly the power supply.

1gb on that card would be a waste. With a Pentium D I don't think you'll be able to do GTA4, or most modern games even if you bought a new PSU and GPU, considering that CPU would be a huge handicap.
My recommendation would be to get your hands on a Radeon 5670. PSU wise you should be ok, and it's got plenty of power, though GTA4 will eat it up too as it eats up anything and everything out there. For cheaper you could get a 5570 or a Radeon 4670 for even cheaper. Yes, the 5670 will beat both of those by a good 20% margin probably, but the Radeon 4670 can be had for dirt cheap off of Newegg and it's pretty damn good at playing Source games, BF2, BF2142, even at 1080p. I had a 4670 in my main machine as an interim until I got a 5850 and I have a half height 5570 in my slim case machine. The 5570 is a bit pricey (especially half height varieties) but it performs quite admirably. Tears through most of what I play. Even CoD4 at 1080p is smooth and easy. If you go with the 5570, even if the rest of your system isn't up to par, you could drop it into a new machine whenever you get a new computer.
