I bought a little 802.1bg WLAN USB adaptor. I have it plugged and and it works fine. Can I use this to give internet access to other computers in my house? I have a wired router and I created a network bridge between my desktops NIC and the USB WLAN. My goal is to give my PSP and Laptop internet access. But its not working.

How do I use this to create a wifi access to other devices?

PS. I have done basicly the same thing with the phone link USB NICs. I plug one into my desktop and bridge the connection to the NIC. And then plug the other one into any other computer and that other computer gets an internet connection with no problems. Why isnt this working the same way?

Here is an easier way to explain what I'm trying to do. I have a basic USB WLAN adaptor. I want to use it like this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16879210005

That looks like the same thing but it comes with some software that does what I'm trying to do. Since I already have the USB adaptor can I just get some software like this? Of can I just set the XP network settings to do this stock?

Sorry mate, but that can't be done. A WLAN adaptor is meant for sending and receiving to a wireless router. Nintendo and Sony both make a adaptor that allows your PC to send out a wireless signal to use as a access point. I am sure you can find others, but I am fairly certain u have to buy something that is made for that particular task.

your wireless adapter can't do it. you need a USB wireless router like this one
