Depending on how close you plan to be to the TV. If pretty close, then yes. If not, then..no.

26" is good even you're play on the bed.

below 26 inch should play closed to the monitor like playing PC.

Ifyou sit any closer than 5ft, you could start to see the benefits of 1080p

at about 3ft, you can see the full benefit of 1080p

check out my thread about it here

I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about HDTV's. With monitors, of course you'll see a high improvement from 1280x720 to 1920x1200, that's really 1200P. But if it was a 26" HDTV and I had a choice to get a 720P version of the TV or a 1080P version for an extra $100, I would get the 720P version, because you can't notice a difference on that small of a screen (HDTV, not monitor). By the way, I've played games using 480i (14"), 480P (26"), 576P (19"), 720P (22"), 1080i (65"), 1080P (42").

Actually, it depends on how close you are to the TV

You would get the full benefit of 1080p on a 26" screen from about 3.5ft away and closer

The point was the price difference..would you spend an extra $150+ to get 1080P for 3.5ft away viewing?

If not more than 6 feet away, 26" is fine really. Its more of like playing in your own room, which may not be big enough for a larger TV.
