Hello!

I want to know more about this game. It's an online Role-playing Space Sim game as far as I've heard. The only Space Sim games I played are the X games, and the only MMORPG was World of Warcraft.

What does EVE online have that's present in X and World of Warcraft?

Can you write a short summary about the game and what were the updates and how many things have they changed. Also,is the game free to play?

A lot of the questions you asked could easily be answered by perusing the game's website. X3 is quite similar to EVE Online in many different ways, but the real draw to the game is the playerbase and the many things they do. They just released the new Inferno expansion that added a bunch of nice features. Take advantage of the 14-day trial at least.

No matter what, EVE Online is a MMORPG. Some of it's gameplay is quite different from the game's brethren but the core gameplay is still there. Even some of the function of combat. With that said, there isn't dog fighing. Much of the game revolves around larger ships exchanging fire power as oppose to small fighters weaving through the attacks created by frigates(and what not).

Many people would say that they're IN LOVE with the concept of EVE Online. Who else wouldn't be? The sandbox elements in this MMORPG are almost unrivaled(although I am liking the concept behind Archage). All the players exist on one server which almost all aspect of the gameplay is pretty much run by them; and it's also PvP heavy. But EVE Online isn't as accessible as some of the current MMORPGs on the market. It's a niche game. There's a lot to learn and the mechanics are much more detailed. It's a game that does not fully support the casual player; but the depth is so incredible.

The idea of being rich and wealthy in EVE definitely shows. Someone who has played for a year consistently will probably never been even matched with another player who's been playing for 5 years. And if one day they do, most likely that same person who they've been struggling to become even with has gained even more power. With that said, I love how guildmates bond in this game to over come more powerful groups of players.

It's definitely interesting to play, but you have no patience than I'd stay away from it.

EVE Online is not free play. The game is still very much hotkey based like many other MMORPGs; but the presentation makes it look much different. You're literally thrown into the galaxy alone at first with the idea of being able to do anything you want..sort of speak. The game is open PvP. Certain areas have a threat level. The higher it is, the more likely you'll encounter combat from another player. Skills can be trained while even offline; and the further you develop them the longer it takes(even days).

One thing that even EVE Online vets are discouraged over is permanent death. The ship you worked on for several months is destroyed for good the first time it perishes in combat which forces you to start from square one. But from my understanding smart players have back-ups.

One thing I am amazed with EVE Online are player-run banks with others robbing the @#$% out of them. I've seen videos where people held others for ransom and made them sing Christmas music for their lives. And listen to some of the scams too! Who wouldn't want to play a game like this?
