I'm considering buying them, is there online community (bigger then 3 friends I mean am I going to wait to find a game or not?), anyone knows?

what is the situation around battlefield games? anyone plays vietnam? any mods... where is the community currently? I barely played that game..

what about the original day of defeat? what about a zero hour?

Lots of people still play Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat Source, and Red Orchestra.. you won't have an issue finding a server. But for Red Orchestra, a lot of people are playing Darkest Hour now. It's a free mod/total conversion for RO.

Check Xfire they have stats concerning how many people play. Its ofcourse players with xfire but always some info.

wc3, ut2004 and dod still has a lot of player online. You might want to try battlefield 2

Yeah I have Battlefield 2. and if you get the latest patch off the battlefield main website then there will be like 2000 servers online. So a lot of people still play.

Also I have day of defeat source and when I went on last there was a good bit of people online.

alien vs predator has been shut down recently, even if hundred of people were still playing it :(Franko_3

thanks guys, first game will be probably day of defeat as I didn't find demo for RO to check performance but I know that DoD will run fine, then battlefield maybe.. cheers
