Well, I limit myself to $30 no matter the game. The problem is that retail games rarely drop price here (actually, I've never seen a price drop on a retail game)

in my opinion, no game is worth more than 20 bucks.

Man that's really cheap. You must be running some really old hardware if you think more than 20 bucks is overpriced for a game.
i think he means the standard pricing of gaming has been set to high which i agree with...20 bucks would be awesome but i think about 40 bucks for new games would be more reasonable

not really. i play modern games like crysis and just cause 2, but what I do is only buy during the summer and winter steam sales. And I buy A LOT of games during those sales so it's enough to last me until the next one.[QUOTE="martinX3X"]

I disagree with your logic. I run hardware capable of maxing the Witcher 2 at native resolution easy but rarely spend over $20 on a game. It isn't about being strapped for cash and is more about it is flat out wasting money in a lot of cases. Why spend $50 on a game that will drop a lot in a few months or last you 10 hours? A guy on my friends list for Steam buys pretty much every new release and plays it for 5 hours if that. You can argue he gets enjoyment out the game so its money wellspent but I think its a waste since you can do that with cheaper games and not waste money.

Where?
Complex story. My graphics card was set up to do bitcoin mining and it had generated a bitcoin, i used part of that to purchase a key for dirt 3 from a classified page, i traded the dirt 3 key for a key for Crysis 2 on Reddit. Total worth of what was expended was $13 or so. Since the bitcoin i generated was free, the total cost was my computer's power cost which was equivalent to $5. So technically i paid $5 for crysis 2 :PI could see the argument that only long-lasting RPG's (Oblivion, Gothic etc...) or Multiplayer games with great replay value (BC2, BF3, ARMA etc...) are truly worth $60.
