I thought halo was boring and had the most lagy multyplayer ever and was one of the most boring storys in a space theame
Halo PC is a very fun game if you're playing with your friends only on a private internet server using Ventrillo or something. My friends play like this a couple of times almost every week, and it never gets old. IMO Halo is a game to be played with your friends only.
But otherwise, its not a bad game. Singeplayer is fun, and multiplayer can get pretty amazing as long as you arent playing with stupid 12 year olds. I'd definitely get it for 10 dollars.
[QUOTE="TheCrazed420"]Not wanting to start a big Halo argument here(cause we've been there done that before :P), but thats opinion, and you're really selling the game short by saying that any other shooter in the last five years is equal in quality to Halo. It doesn't have its massive following for nothing. Some of the stuff I've seen in Forge is absolutely amazing, and its stuff I've never seen before in any game.

Eh, I don't even think there Live existed at that time... Could be wrong though. My point is that at that time the SP-campaign was one of the best if you compare it to shooters at that time. I think it's funny that people say it's copy/paste, lots of backtracking and so on. Most shooters at that time had that. It pains me to say this, but even System Shock 2 had these features. CoD anyone? Or Doom, Quake? Like I said, if Halo was a PC-shooter, people would praise it a lot more on this forum. I think there's a lot of bias going on here... But whatever, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, I respect that.

At the time Halo came out and became very popular Live was in the talks but didn't release. To get your multiplayer fix in Halo alot of people did lan parties. When live release in 2004 I believe the games that support it was Mechassault and Counter Strike ect. but none really push the service to obtain many users. Once Halo 2 release boy the service flew off the charts. Xbox live use to be a really respectful community at the time btw.I wouldn't get it. The online is terribly laggy and the single-player is boring.GodLovesDead
Guess it wasn't just me... :P
The single player is very good. The multiplayer is always fun, as there are many gametypes/maps and because of the opprotunity to join a multitude of clans, or start your own. As well as there being several leagues made for halo pc clan wars.
I don't know if it would be better to just save the money for another game because I do not know your gaming preferences, but this is a very good choice.
also:Race ftw.
