Its been 6 years since it release. Is it too late to start the game? With catalysm to come out?

It's the best time to start. The whole lvl 1-60 zones have been completely redone.

Indeed. In fact, i would have said that the best time to start would have been a week ago as the 1 - 60 changes were already in effect. If you plan to start on Tuesday, the launch of Cataclysm, you're gonna hit a big of lag and possibly ever server queues.

I think the worst time to start is during an expansion launch, the majority is going to be in the expansion zones. Areas like BC and WOLK will feel empty.

I only started it this year and It was brilliant for me, very noob friendly, the only reason I unsubscribed was because of money troubles.

i started about a week ago...got my 40 runnin around...(im a student and its gettin close to finals...i know its kinda low for a week) and i love the new content...my friend started a new character with me...and hes amazed at whats changed

It's the same as starting with NSMBW instead of SMB for NES. It's basically the same game, but with improvements. Sure you're not going to understand everything it's a huge game, but it's very playable.
