Is it worth gaming on this PC, or should I stick with PS3, or wait until I have enough money to upgrade?

My native resolution is 1920x1080 and games look weird if I dont play them at this resolution. That makes me turn other settings down. Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80 GHz

CPU Speed: 2.80 GHz Performance Rated at 5.04 GHz

RAM: 3.5 GB

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)

Video Card: GeForce 9500 GT

DirectX version: 9.0c

Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio

get a better graphics card and you should be fine for the most part, and maybe try to OC the cpu as well.

You'd have to put everything on low or medium. But with a better GPU you'd be set for a while

He might not want to spend that kind of money, and 5770s might be close to $100 by the end of the year.

The current price difference between the 6850 and 5770 make the 6850 look like an absolute steal. It the new Price/Performance king. Its a bad time to buy into a new GFX card now though because prices are still being adjusted and products are on the horizon.

That PC could do with a new GFX card but it may pay to hold fire until december.

I'm saying the cheapest possible options for good 1080p gaming. 6850 its great but it will launch at $180 while 5770 can be found for about $120-130 now and will certainly drop even further

Meh, with computers, prices change every day and there is always something better just around the corner.

You gotta just get in there and buy something, or you will be waiting for a very long time.
