My PC isnt very strong and I can play most of this generation games only on low or maybe medium settings. My question is it worth to play on my PC or should I just stick with consoles?

Well you could always use your PC to play the PC exclusives on low/medium. If you aren't happy with the graphical level play the multiplats on consoles.
Personally i am often suprised how good some games look on low/medium, many are comparable to consoles at these settings anyway
Medium in most games looks great
Low is usually the simplest and usually looks bad
Medium already looks amazing and runs better than High
High usually looks a lot like medium, but a few more details
that's really up to you, if you really care about graphics and already own a console you might as well use it.
but if you prefer pc then here some things to consider:
1. added advantages of a pc are mouse and keyboard (i just can't imagine some games without them), mods (add replay value) and generally cheaper games that drop down in price faster most of the time too.
2. for most pc-games there is a lot of tweaking you can do to make it look good and still run well even on lower end systems. a lot of graphics options eat up a lot of performance disproportionately to how much better it makes the game look. so don't go with the preprogrammed low/medium/high options but play around with the settings to see how they affect looks and performance or find some on-line guides to help you if you can't figure it out.
3. what are your specs exactly? you can almost always gain a lot by simply upgrading your graphics card. easy upgrade and doesn't have to cost a lot.
I use to play most games at low settings before I upgraded my computer a few years ago...As long as it's playable (35+ fps) then you should be fine.
You could take either higher-res with less eye candy or lower-res with more eye candy. I chose the latter since I'm gaming on a 32" 720p TV using a PC res of 1280x768.
I usually prefer to play with a controller.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80 GHz
CPU Speed: 2.80 GHz Performance Rated at 5.04 GHz
RAM: 3.5 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Video Card: GeForce 9500 GT
DirectX version: 9.0c
Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio
its the gameplay that matters not the grpahics. but mess around with the settings to see whats good and whats bad
I would say no, and I always use the movie analogy with this: What's better? 1- See something like INDEPENDENCE DAY at the cinema, HUGE screen with surround sound or 2- See it with low quality rip, on a small 29'' TV and stereo speakers? My PC isnt very strong and I can play most of this generation games only on low or maybe medium settings. My question is it worth to play on my PC or should I just stick with consoles?

try 1366x768, that should be the native res for your tv.[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"]

My old nVidia 8600GT allowed 1366x768. My current 5770 only allows 1280x768 (standard 16:10). I'm also using the standard 15-pin VGA instead of DVI or HDMI.

Really? have you tried updating the drivers for your 5770?

Yup. My TV is 16:10 and 1280x768 is the closest res at that ratio. It'd be nice though if I can jack the res up a bit more. I thought about using a3rd-party utility. But, the image quality at 1280x768 seems fine and is still slightly better than 720p.
I think the nVidia Control Panel allowed custom res to be set up while the Catalyst CCC sticks to standard resolutions.
If you don't mind playing games on Low/Medium settings then go right ahead and stay with that. I have many times still been able to enjoy a game even when playing on medium settings. It's really up to you.
On my last PC, I had to play on the lowest settings just so LotR online would stop crashing, which made for faceless boring 'toon-play...gave that up and decided to go quadcore w/ new computer...I know... "it's all about the gameplay", but I can't help feeling the weak graphics (caused by crappy CPU on my part) actually hurt my enjoyment of that game...My PC isnt very strong and I can play most of this generation games only on low or maybe medium settings. My question is it worth to play on my PC or should I just stick with consoles?
