No, Not just for one game. If you have a friend with a game console, ask if you can barrow theirs for a little while.

Not in a million years especially when the odds of L.A. Noire coming to PC are actually good.

Save your money. It's rare for anything to be exclusive anymore.

There are many great console exclusives, Enslaved, Metal Gear Solid 4, the Yakuza games, Gears Of War 2, Nier, Deadly Premonition, Final Fantasy XIII, Red Dead Redemption, the MegaTen games, etc. so yeah, get a PS3 or a 360, you'll definetely enjoy them.

Indeed this is true. And never buy any gaming machine for a single game, it just isn't wise.

There is a pretty good chance for the game make it to pc in less than a year, and you get to enjoy the same game with added bonuses such as better resolution much better AA, AF, etc... i for one have a PS3 and won't be getting it since i have this feeling that same thing will happen to this game like it did to GTA IV, we might get a announcement in E3 or something, all in all there are so many great PC games and multiplats that are also on PC that you will be busy till we get L.A Noire.

For L.A. Noire alone - no. For L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption - it's alright. But I suggest waiting for the reviews first.

No. If you got it and a bunch of other exclusive games, then yes.

No, but it's worth getting a PS3 or a 360 for all the other great games they have.

If you want to play Rockstar games then you will inevitably have to purchase a console to do so. It is becoming increasingly clear that Rockstar have never the skill or desire to bring their titles to the PC. So ask yourself if you want to play Rockstars games ? If the answer is yes then buy a console for it.

I really do have to wonder why some people are so sure that LA Noire will come to the PC, just exactly what are people basing this on ?

No. If you're willing to spend £250 to play one game, you need to find better things to spend your money on.

The chances of PC ever getting L.A Noire is really really slim since rockstar is not one who makes games for pc at all or port them.Wasn't GTA IV the only rockstar game for PC so far?

Hey I have a PS3 but I am not going to buy it. I would rather wait for it to come to the PC. Just like with Super Street Fighter IV, people were saying it will not come to the PC. But now we know that not only will we get the Super Street Fighter IV on the PC but we will get the Arcade version which has new characters. Along with Street Fighter VS Tekken next year. I would rather wait so I could play those games at 1080P instead of running those games on the consoles at 720P with toned down graphics.

You really should research more. Every Rockstar game except red dead and L.A. Noire have been on PC. Rockstar games ORIGINATED on PC back in the days of the original GTA and GTA II.

Manhunt 2 was released on PC two years after the console version.

Can you wait so long?

Most Rockstar ports are closer to 8-12 months so that is a rare case.

It is pretty irrelevant how Rockstar started out, I have been a PC gamer for nearly 20 years and I am well aware of their "roots". However just because they started out on the PC does not mean they have any interest in continuing to support the PC platform. Also your lil list missed a few games out, so far the following Rockstar games have not come to the PC :-

GTA Liberty City Stories (PS2/PSP)

GTA Vice City Stories (PS2/PSP)

Red Dead Revolver (PS2/Xbox)

Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition (PS2/Xbox/PSP)

The Warriors (PS2/Xbox/PSP)

Midnight Club : Los Angeles (PS3/360)

Rockstar Table Tennis (360/Wii)

Red Dead Redemption (360/PS3)

LA Noire (360/PS3)

Agent (PS3)

As you can see there have been plenty of Rockstar titles that never made it over to the PC. Not to mention I ignored a crap load of other games that were console only and I couldn't be bothered to mention in here. Infact if you do the sums the number of Rockstar games that make it to the PC are OUTNUMBERED by the number of Rockstar games that don't make it to the PC.

So again I have to wonder just what you are basing "oh it will come to the PC" on ?

never even heard of this game before. If you ask that question you must have a lot of money to throw around. So I say... yes?
