Is Left 4 Dead a DirectX 10 game?

I know Left 4 Dead will run on a DX9 computer but will it put out DX10 graphics cause i got a 8800 in my rig.

I doubt it. And even if it did I doubt you would notice. Most of dx10 effects are with rendering natural lighting effects. There's not much sunlight in L4D.

I think guys he is trying to ask that his video card that is DX10 capable is compatiable with DX9 games.. Yeah of course it is, if that is the question.

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 series are making advantage of Directx 9c, You wont have better grapichs with a DirectX 10 card, If you want to take advantage of your DirectX 10 gpu play a DirectX 10 game, Search on google for this '' List of games with directx 10 support ''
