Hey guys, I really need to know if MICROCENTER is reliable and trust worthy and all that because I've found a couple of things they have a big sale on like the antec 1200 for 130$ and the i7 920 for 230$ compared to 290$ at newegg. I really want these parts and it would be nice if I could get them at these low prices. Anyone have experience with them or heard anything about them? Anything at all will be of great help.

Thanks

Microcenter is a very good company. We actually have a store in this city. Their prices are phenomenal. Their service is the best; Ive been shopping there for years and never had any problems. That is my #1 store for computer parts.

I've got one about 20 minutes away from me (depending on traffic) and I drag my sorry butt out there from time to time when I know they're having a sale. I've noticed they have a couple of CPUs that are priced way below other place to get them and I'm throwing around the idea to pick one up....but then I'd need a new MB and I'd have to backup files on my hard drive then reformat and re-install Windows....I just don't feel like putting that much effort into at the moment.

I love their prices and they have a great staff that is knowledgeable - it's my new computer place ever since CompUSA closed (though, the people there didn't always know much about computers)....just that CompUSA is about a good 10 minutes closer then MicroCenter.

So feel free to buy from them, they do things very well.

Should be good seeing as how they have large stores in my area rather than being some sketchy website based in Taiwan.

Slightly unrelated, but they also tend to have people working there that are computer enthusiasts themselves and *actually* know what is up (i.e. understand when you're looking for a certain processor stepping) - it doesn't really matter for our purposes, but it's a very nice touch.
