Got a new computer a few days ago, but I got some worries so far...

When I first got it, plugged the cables and such in, power cable. Pressed the turn on button and nothing happend. Went away from it in 3 minutes, and when I came back it had turned on normally.

So here's the thing... It turns on normally if the power-cable haven't been removed since the last time it was on. If I take it out and then try to turn it on, I have to wait a few minutes before it will start.

I've never experienced that before. So is that the norm with some/newer computers?

My only thought is that maybe the capacitors don't have enough juice to get the entire system started after having been removed from a power source, and it starts up immediately after having been plugged in the wall for a while because it has continuous power to keep the capacitors charged for startup, which consumes a lot of initial power. I've seen what you are talking about before but only for a few seconds, not minutes. As long as your rig is running and not randomly restarting I wouldn't worry about it. If you smell ozone, general burning, hear clicking, or get restarts and/or artifacts then I would look into it further. Until then, game on.
