Is there, or will there be, any demo for Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands? I'll be playing it on the PC, and since it'll be released for PC on the 8th of June, I'm not actually patient enough to wait that long (though it's not that much long). So I'm definitely gonna need a demo.. I really hope there is one. So, if there is any demo for the game, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

No. And if you have a choice get a console version. The PC version will have Ubi's online DRM which will may render the game unplayable when you want to. And knowing Ubisofts latest PC offerings it will be poorly optimized. Have you seen recommended requirements? 4 gigabytes of ram. lol. Wonder how the console version works with 512 ram. **** Ubisoft. **** em up their stupid *****.

Oh my god!! I saw the requirements.. But how come it requires 4 GB of RAM where only 64-bit computers can handle more than 3 GB RAM? In addition, most computer users use 32-bit computers, due to the expensiveness of 64-bit computers. This is nonsense, it can't require 4 GB. I bet it'll work with my 1 GB RAM.

Because Ubisoft doesn't have a clue when they write the requirements, they always exaggerate, not one of their games had accurate requirements. I doubt the game itself will use more than 1gig and no there will be no demo from what I know.

While i think you are over exaggeratinga bit with the drm, i have to say i agree with you and if you take a look at how cheap of a port the two thrones felt back then, i wouldnt invest on the pc version. But then again ubisoft will blame piracy again. :( How it has that super awesome drm that cannot be cracked?

Wah wah wah wah DRM.

/thread...

Seriously, get yourself a somewhat decent rig and a not so FUBAR internet connection and you're set.... Most of you whiners are console MP gamers anyway so you're not actually affected.

Besides... Memory is cheap enough that you have no excuse to only have 2 gig's in your PC while trying to play games.

The issue is not our connection, its ubisoft connection which varies from country to country and has gone down for some people.

I probably came off a bit too harsh, but people complain way too much about DRM. It certainly has not lessened my gaming experience much.

AC2 runs wonderfully for me.

The problem is mostly that they generate an issue when there was no real need for it. Now that the drm does not stop pirates, they keep on using it. That is the issue everyone has. Lets see how long it will take this game to be pirated and sucessfully hacked. If it does not take long, then ubisoft should stop with the unnessary drm.

What "what"?? Do you mean the word "expensiveness", or that my words are unfounded (64-bit aren't expensive)?

If you mean the word "expensiveness", is this word wrong? If yes, then sorry, I'm not a native English speaker. But I've actually seen situations in which the word "expensiveness" is used, nevertheless.

64 bit isn't more expensive than 32 bit (if that's what you meant) in fact 32 bit should already be removed completely from this world, because more developers need to make 64 bit software, they need to stop being lazy and take this step like some huge companies already did.

Oh really? I always thought that 64-bit PCs are more expensive than 32-bit. Well, aren't they? I mean they have a whole lot more features than 32 bit computers and they are a lot better. How can't they be more expensive? At least if they aren't really more expensive, they definitely aren't cheaper.. or what?

The OS themselves are the same price, as for hardware, we don't really have 32 bit hardware nowadays, anything that isn't older than 3 or 4 years is already made for 64 bit, the only difference is that one is obsolete and the other should become standard with an adaption rate of 100%.

Then possibly I have 64-bit hardware, since my PC is about 2.5 years old. The OS is definitely 32-bit though. How can I check if my hardware is 32-bit or 64-bit? And if it is indeed 64-bit, should I get 64-bit software as well?

if you can afford the game, you can afford another 2 gig's of ram. And you don't need a top notch connection... You just need one that works.

Well, my CPU is a Dual Core 2160 @ 1.80GHz. I know, it sucks for nowadays PCs, but its about 3 years old. I might get me a new rig soon, after all.

Well performance aside, you can install a 64 bit OS, because it's a 64 bit processor :).

Oh really?! And all this time (3 years) I thought that it's actually a 32-bit :) Ok maybe I'll get a 64-bit OS. One question though, how did you really tell whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit? Just curious :P

The specifications from each architecture, it's pretty much everywhere but the easiest way too see it is on the Intel website. Any Intel processor released after the first, fake, 64 bit processor, Pentium D (the so called Pentium 5 by some) supports 64 bit, anything E,Q,i.

Ok, thanks for the heads up! I actually know that I have to get a new PC, since my current one is about 3 years old.. I think that I might replace it sometime soon. But I bet that it'll be able to run the game, however, cuz until now it's ran every game I install. So I don't think it should have a problem running Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands now...
