Ever since I got a new video card and a new giant monitor, my wireless has not been as strong. It randomly disconnects sometimes.

I don't think it's related to your video card... (And I'm pretty much sure it has nothing to do with your monitor.) If the Internet light goes out when you disconnect, it's probably a general service problem. If the ADSL light goes out, you should contact your ISP about it. If the Wireless light goes out, it's probably something within the modem itself.

Try switching channels on the router. That might help with any interference issues.

If that doesn't help, you could invest in a more powerful antenna... but wouldn't it be more fun to tell people you constructed your own parabolic antenna?

I've got no idea whether this really works to boost the signal (it's nothing but aluminium foil, card and glue), but just look how it launches this otherwise drab router proudly into the space-age.
