I got this keyboard about 2 weeks ago and only just got around to playing a game with it and have noticed that the keys dont seems to work unless Im pushing quite hard on them. Like i'll be running in a game using the W key, its pushed down then all of a sudden i'll stop running because I took off a slight amount of pressure. Also the space bar is a pain with the same issue, when i go to jump unless I really give it a good tap it will not register it being pushed. Iv tried looking all over the net to see if anyone else has experianced this problem but cant find anything, so Im hopping someone here with the same board may know something. Im quite disapointed with it really. The keyboard itself is great, but I shouldnt be having a harder time playing game with it then I was with my old $20 board all because I dont bash my keys hard or put huge amounts of weight on them. Being only afew weeks sice i got it Im planning on taking it back for a refund, or a replacment if I can find out if its just faulty.

Also an unrelated issue, does anyone who owned one of these know if they are meant to heat up on the bottom left, near the windows/ctrl keys?

seems i might be out of luck, took the keyboard back to the retailer i bought it from. explained the issues, then he went and plugged it into some display laptops they had to test it out. Everything worked fine according to him, and told me i was simply not pressing hard enough on the keys. As for the thing heating up, it takes about an hour before you can feel the heat coming off it so there was no way to show him that either. feels like iv just been robbed of $150. Iv posted directly to logitech on their forums, and am yet to see a reply. Other then hopefully getting some info/suggestions from logitech directly (if they even reply to me) I dont know what else I can do.

there is seriously something wrong with a keyboard if you feel that you have to press the keys harder than normally. or then it's just plain bad product.

just tested my Logitech wireless and laptop keyboards for comparison. i am not able to keep the button pressed, no matter how lightly i try to do it, in a way that it wouldn't register the key.

Yeah, im 100% certain this isnt how a keyboard should be, ecpecially one that costs up to $160 retail. Iv never experianced a problem like this before with keys needing to be pressed harder then what it takes for it to "drop". Im still yet to hear back from logitech on the problem and will give them afew days to reply, but if they dont or they do but tell me their is nothing that can be done, I dont know whether there are any laws which would entitle me to a refund because clearly this product does not work as intended. I guess all I can say is either steer clear of this model or do abit abit of research (not that you'll find anything about this problem anywhere, because I sure cant) before purchasing it.

As for the heating up, I cant even think what would be producing enough heat in in this thing to make it do it, and Iv only just noticed that its happening on both sides of the keyboard, under the left CTRL/windows key and under the arrows keys on the right. There's nothing even near those spots that I can tell would produce heat. Id have assumed if anywhere would be hot it would be closer the the screen up top. Seems very odd, but abit of heat doesnt bother me as much as not being able to play games with this thing.

I have the original G510. Mine does not get hot anywhere, and I don't have to press very hard for it to register. If I were you, I would contact Logitech support directly(not the forum). I've had issues with my G500 scroll wheel, and they've always replied in less than a day and sent out replacements without any trouble.

And if you're impatient and don't want to wait, take it back to the store and ask to see a manager.

So I went back to the store I purchased the board from explained the situation again to a different guy this time, and managed to get a replacment, but not of the same board, I droped an extra $20 and picked up the g710+. Hopfully it will perform better then the g510 did.
