is this a cpu bottleneck

i recently bought gtx 660 oc version (msi). i can't run most of the games they are lagging like **** anybody tell is it acpu bottleneck or other problem.

my specs

ram 1333 ddr3 4gb

cpu phenom 2 x2 550 (not be) oc at 3.5 ghz

500 gb hdd

psu corsair cxv2uk 500

monitor sony lcd 32 1920x 1080

Or get a new mobo and get something like z87 mobo with 4670K. Though it will probably require new RAM as well and cost you a lot more. horgen123

Phenom II's are still very good CPU's, yours is a dual core which is the bottleneck.
